Reprotec’s work on a prestigious project for Newcastle’s Theatre Royal was highly commended towards the end of 2015 at a national awards ceremony.
Our company was recognised for its achievements in the Small Commercial Project of the Year category at the 45th FeRFA Awards Dinner, held at the famous Belfry Hotel at Sutton Coldfield on November 27, 2015.
FeRFA, the Resin Flooring Association, represents manufacturers, specialist contractors, surface preparation companies, suppliers and specialist service providers within the UK’s resin flooring industry: its awards recognise innovation in the industry and showcase the versatility and wide range of applications for resin flooring.
Reprotec was highly commended for its successful refurbishment of the Theatre Royal’s dance studio floor: the project, which was completed in May, saw Reprotec install a liquid vinyl floor in the studio, with no disruption the high profile theatre’s operations and programme.
The sustainable floor provided a cost-effective, long term solution for the Theatre Royal, in keeping with the theatre’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, with the liquid vinyl chosen specifically for its soft, warm qualities, which made it ideal for use in a dance studio.
In addition, Reprotec was a finalist in two other categories at the awards: Trainer of the Year, which recognises companies which excel in providing training, qualifications and providing a structured pathway for career progression; and FeRFA Member of the Year, which honours outstanding performance and achievement.
Nick Megson, commercial director at Reprotec, commented: “We were the only FeRFA member to be shortlisted for three awards on the night, which was an incredible achievement and we were delighted to have been highly commended in the Small Commercial Project of the Year category.
“The FeRFA Awards shines the spotlight on the very best of our industry so it was fantastic to be part of it this year.
“Our success at this year’s FeRFA Awards Dinner is testimony to the dedication and specialist skills of the whole of our workforce, and it’s particularly pleasing to have been recognised for our work at the Theatre Royal, where we combined our innovative, flexible approach to projects with our product expertise to create a bespoke, sustainable solution.”
