Durham Johnston School has been presented with a cheque for £2000 donated by Reprotec Group on behalf of Sabic UK Petrochemicals.
The prize is part of Reprotec’s award of ‘Small-Medium Size Business of the Year 2019’ by the Process Industry’s organisation, North East Process Industries Cluster (NEPIC).
Headteacher, Mr O’Sullivan, staff and pupils were delighted by the donation towards a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) project.
There are many ways that the school can put the money to good use, for example, the school’s Environmental Club, Primary Maths links and Sixth Form Industrial visits.
John Holmes, MD of Reprotec Group, said: “We are very pleased that our win has brought benefits to our local school.”
